Donating Medical Equipment

Did you know that July 15th is National Give Something Away Day? While many of us think about donating clothing, books, or household items, gently used medical equipment is often one of the most needed (and most overlooked) donations. Items like walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs, and canes can make a meaningful difference for older adults and caregivers facing unexpected health challenges or financial hardship. Before you toss that unused equipment in the garage or basement, consider how it could help someone in your community stay safe, independent, and connected. In this post, we’ll explore where you can donate gently used medical equipment and how your donation can improve someone’s quality of life.
