Each year on November 11th, America honors those who served in the military (this is different from Memorial Day, which honors those who died while serving their country). Originally called Armistice Day, the holiday was first celebrated in 1919 to show gratitude to those who served and contemplate world peace. Today on the blog we’re going to look at community celebrations for veterans and discounts available to veterans on the 11th. Please note that many of these discounts require proof of service. Make sure to call ahead to make sure the restaurant is participating.
