The Accessibility Ramp Program provides grants for the installation of exterior ramps at the homes of residents who meet guidelines. The Housing Rehabilitation Program assists income-eligible homeowners with improving their homes to lower energy bills, correct health/safety concerns, and other repairs. The Home Weatherization Program adds insulation to attics, walls, and crawl spaces. Also caulks around drafty windows and doors and repairs furnaces and hot water heaters.
Accessibility Ramp Program: must be Washtenaw County resident. Grants are limited to one-time assistance per dwelling during a five-year period. Housing Rehabilitation: Must be Washtenaw County resident. First-come, first served for income-eligible applicants. Home Weatherization Program: Must be Washtenaw County resident. Home must be weatherized before 9/30/93. Income requirements. Automatic qualification for those receiving SSA, FDA, or FIP within 3 previous months.
