Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County (JFS)

Caregiver Conversations, a monthly support group for adult caregivers, provides information and peer support. Also offer English as a Second Language (ESL) and citizenship classes. Friendly Visitor Service sends trained volunteers once a month to older adults’ homes to participate in activities ranging from playing board games to going on short outings.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Must complete screening to receive home delivered meal. Must be 60+ or have medical documentation of homebound. Must be JFS client to participate in transportation program. $30 baseline for rides. Caregiver support group meets monthly at different locations throughout Ann Arbor. Respite care limited to 36 hours during a 90 day period. Food pantry offers gluten-free, Halal, Kosher, low sodium, and vegan options. Call for times and locations of support groups and classes
