Downsizing, Packing, and Moving

960x720

Lately, our Resource Advocates have received many calls about resources related to moving and downsizing. While 88% of older adults age 50+ say that they want to age in place in their home, they may not be prepared for the cost of making repairs to enable them to do so (e.g. widening doorways to accommodate a wheelchair, etc.) or they may not be able to physically take care of themselves on their own. While it’s sad to move out of the home, an older adult may thrive in an intendent or assisted living facility. Today on the blog we’re going to look at moving and downsizing resources.
