Foster Grandparents Program
Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development (OCED)

The program matches low-income adults 60+ with youth in various settings for 20 hours per week. The foster grandparents acts as role model, mentor, and friend. They engage the youth in activities that develop literacy and provide emotional support. Volunteers receive a monthly stipend, transportation assistance, meals while on duty, and a free annual medical checkup.
